Curtis S. Chin joins AAFNY Board of Directors

New York – The Asian American Federation of New York (AAFNY) welcomed Curtis S. Chin as their newest member to the Board of Directors. He joins 14 other members on this established Board.

Chin is Managing Director, Public Affairs & Asia Pacific of the international communications firm Burson-Marsteller. A Yale Management and Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism graduate, Chin professionally oversees and advises corporations, multi-lateral bodies, and other organizations on a wide range of issues including corporate social responsibility. Chin has worked in the Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Washington, D.C., and New York offices of Burson-Marstellar.

He has also served as special assistant to the US Secretary of Commerce and was a member of the State Department’s Advisory Committee on Cultural Diplomacy during the first presidency of George W. Bush. Among his many accomplishments, Chin is also the author of a best-selling book in Japan on U.S. management schools.

Chin brings his expertise in public affairs and experience in governance and diplomacy to the Asian American Federation of New York. “We are very pleased to have Curtis join us in our efforts to help serve our Asian American communities and are honored to work with someone of his caliber in talent, experience and dedication,” says Michelle Tong, Esq., Donor Relations Director of the Federation.
